LLANDUDNO has been selected as a finalist in the 2019 Britain in Bloom competition.
Finalists in the Royal Horticultural Society’s competition are put forward to the national final based on their progress regionally and will be scored by a team of national judges in the summer.
Llandudno competes in the competition's large coastal town category.
A spokesman for Llandudno town council which coordinates the town’s Britain in Bloom competition said: “We are delighted to be a finalist in Britain in Bloom We achieved a gold in 2017 and we are looking to improve upon that. This is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together to show Llandudno at its best.”
Chairman of the Britain in Bloom judging panel, Darren Share said: “Britain in Bloom isn’t just about spectacular floral displays and making our villages, towns and cities beautiful to live in and visit. Many of the finalists are on the frontline of tackling some of the UK’s biggest challenges such as climate change, plastic waste on beaches and declining pollinator populations.”
The RHS Britain in Bloom judges will visit the finalists during judging fortnight which starts on 29th July.
