FUNDING has been secured to run craft workshops for adults with autism living in Denbighshire.

The workshops will take place at Rhyl Library on March 26 between 10am and 12pm. The sessions are free but it is advised that places are booked early.

The funding was obtained by Stand North Wales (Stronger Together for Additional Needs and Disabilities).

Sarah McCulloch, who formed Stand North Wales with Yvonne Brookes, said: “The workshops will run for two hours 10am until 12pm and are informal where attendees can come along and take part in some creative activities which they can take home when the session finishes.

"The activities on offer include glass painting and ceramic painting various items and canvas art where the attendees can paint or decorate canvases with a range of resources on offer. Refreshments will also be available.

"Funding was secured after submitting an application to Denbighshire Voluntary Services Council (DVSC) autism grant and we were selected from numerous applications."

There are 10 spaces for the event, although carers are welcome to attend too.

Workshops are for adults aged 18 plus.
