THREE fire engines attended the scene of a blaze at an industrial estate in Ruthin on Thursday.
Crews from Ruthin, Denbigh and Mold and an aerial ladder platform from Rhyl were called to Lon Parcwr at 6.11am following reports of a building fire.
A tarmac filter tower on the estate was ablaze and crews used the aerial ladder platform to tackle the fire due to the fact that it was "high up on the plant".
The blaze took place close to Denbighshire council's depot.
A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue confirmed that crews used two sets of breathing apparatus, two main jets, small tools and an aerial ladder platform to extinguish the fire.
The blaze was contained to within part of the plant and caused 50 sqm of damage. The cause is thought to be related to the machinery.
