AN "EXCEPTIONAL" student was shortlisted for a prestigious education award.
Gwen Williams, who left Ysgol Glan Clwyd in St Asaph in July last year, was nominated for the British Education Awards 2019.
A total of 76 candidates were shortlisted and winners were revealed during a ceremony on January 31 at Hilton Manchester Deansgate.

Catherine Jones, head of Sixth Form at the school, said: "This was the first time that we nominated a pupil for the awards.
"We were delighted that Gwen reached the final shortlist of candidates for the A Level Achievement award She was an exceptional student and we are very proud of her achievements to date."
