A TOP quality night of music is on offer in St Asaph later this week.

Two Eisteddfodau will benefit from a gig in the company of Alys Williams a'r Band and Candelas on Friday, February 22.

This gig will be held at the Oriel Country Hotel & Spa and it will get underway at 8pm.

Llanuwchllyn band Candelas have gained a clutch of awards since their first EP Kim Y Syniad in 2011.

Back in 2014, they won three Y Selar awards - for the best Welsh language song, the best long record and the best band.

Candelas won the award for the best Welsh language band again the following year.

Combining folk, country and jazz influences to stunning effect with her 5-piece band, Alys Williams is one of Wales’ leading singers. She has headlined the National Eisteddfod, while she has also appeared on BBC1’s The Voice.

Tickets are priced at £15 and they are available from Siop Clwyd, in Denbigh.

Proceeds from the evening will go to the 2019 Conwy County National Eisteddfod and the 2020 Urdd Eisteddfod, which is being held in Denbigh.
