PASSENGERS on Lloyds Coaches services across North & Mid Wales - including Corwen and Bala - can now benefit from the latest in ticket machine technology by paying their bus fares 'contactless'.
The initiative allows those travelling on the buses to pay fares of up to £30 using contactless credit card or apple pay services - a move that Lloyds staff says makes boarding the buses "faster and easier".
General Manager Dan Lloyd said: "Buses play a critical role in the economic activity of the area by connecting people and places and the introduction of Contactless payment on our vehicles is the next step in the evolution of bus travel in North and Mid Wales.
"It makes it easier than ever to travel by bus, especially with the demise of rural banking facilities, passengers no longer have to worry about finding cash for their bus fares."
Lloyds Coaches travel through several local bus routes including the TrawsCymru T3 service, which runs through Llangollen, Corwen and Bala.
