Rufus Carter, commercial director at Patchwork Foods, said: “It is really exciting to be involved and part of such a showcase event of producers in Wales but also a great opportunity to develop business partnerships and build success.

"It’s rare to have so many senior buyers from retailers and wholesalers together under one roof and I am very much looking forward to the opportunities it will bring.”

Confirmed delegates at the event include buyers and representatives from across Europe, the USA, Australia, Middle East and as far afield as Japan, affirming Wales’s place at the forefront of high quality food and drink production.

Lesley Griffiths, Welsh Government’s minister for environment, energy and rural affairs - who will be hosting the event, said: “Consumers are always looking for good quality and that’s why national and international buyers are increasingly turning to Wales.

“This was shown quite clearly following last year’s event, with the £14m generated for our producers exceeding all our initial expectations.

“We are rightly proud of our produce and we know that the future success of the industry relies on getting them into as many new markets as possible, which is why BlasCymru/TasteWales is so important to its future success.”
