MUSICAL magic will be offered in a Denbighshire village next week.
Llandegla All Styles Music will present Fiddlestone on Monday, March 18.
The evening will take place in the Memorial Hall, Llandegla.
Founded in 1971 and based in Ellesmere Port, Fiddlestone are Les Bourne (guitar, whistle, vocals), Mal Ashman (bouzouki, banjo, vocals), Dave Burrows (English concertina, vocals), Carl Rogers (high and low whistles, double bass, bodhran, vocals) and Lee Creswell (fiddle, mandolin, whistles, vocals)
Their roots lie in the folk music tradition, but over the years the five members have built up an extensive repertoire of songs and music.
They have a loyal following throughout North Wales and the North West of England.
The band has performed at the Chester and Wirral folk festivals, the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool, local radio and on national TV. Fiddlestone are known well on the local folk club circuit and as participating supporters of local charity concerts.
The line-up has changed over the years, following the departure of Andy Chrimes (of Welcomme, Finnan and Chrimes fame) with two new members, Carl Rogers and Lee Creswell, joining the ranks.
They bring a wealth of musical experience with them and an injection of Irish and Scottish traditional music.
Doors open at 7.30pm on March 18, with the performance getting underway at 8pm.
Admission is £5 and tickets are available from evans.llandegla@gmail.com, calling 01978 790671, or from Llandegla Community Shop.
