A NORTH WALES music festival expected to attract thousands of party-goers will be held in Ruthin this summer.

Su Casa Festival, a fast-growing dance music festival, will take place at the Ruthin Farmers Auction in July after 3,000 people attended last year’s event at Bodelwyddan Castle.

The festival, now in its fourth year, is aiming to be “even bigger” this year and more than 3,000 people tried to buy its 500 pre-sale tickets on Tuesday, March 12.

Dale Rankmore, event organiser, said: "We set the standard last year, but this year we’re going even bigger!’’

“The main stage is being taken over by the globally successful brand Kaluki, one of the most recognised names in the dance music world. Not forgetting the other two areas which were a big hit last year the Techno Temple and Tropicana Ruins as the disco area.

"With more areas to be announced, also expect fair rides, plenty of food and drink, and a few more surprises.

"The line-up this year really is set to stun, boasting world class DJ’s, including Alan Fitzpatrick, Max Chapman, Pirate Copy, Pete Zorba, Alisha, and Dale.

"In the Techno Temple they have some real "heavy- hitters" including Dense & Pika, Cleric, Rebuke, and Frazier.

Mr Rankmore continued: “To round things off on the Disco stage (Tropicana Ruins) they have the household name Shapeshifters, who brought you the massive hit 'Lola's Theme', with support from Katie Goodman (Glitterbox) and many other local artists across all stages.”

The Su Casa Festival will be held on July 27.
