A COUNCIL has issued a scam warning after a number of residents received calls claiming they are owed a council tax refund.
Denbighshire County Council said the calls are a "scam" and asked residents across the county to "please beware" when answering calls making the claim.
A Denbighshire County Council spokesperson said: "We've had reports that a couple of residents have received calls claiming they are owed a council tax refund and are then asked by the caller for their card details so that the refund can be arranged.
"Please beware that this is a scam."
