Ruth Lee Ltd.'s impressive growth in international markets recognised at the Celebrating Small Business Awards

Corwen-based Ruth Lee Ltd. had their impressive growth in international markets recognised at the Federation of Small Business (FSB) Celebrating Small Business Awards' Welsh area finals.

On March 22, a group of staff members travelled to the Hilton Hotel in Cardiff and say they were "delighted" to have been handed the prize for their export achievements.

Ruth Lee will now progress to the National awards set to be held in London in May.

Managing Director, Paul McDonnell said: "I am immensely proud of the Ruth Lee Ltd team and what we have achieved in recent years. Our export success is built upon strong foundations of quality and customer service – our international customers know and trust us to deliver the best possible products for rescue training.

"Our Export Sales going into 2019 have already been very strong, and we have many visits and exhibitions planned for the year ahead, including Europe, Asia and South America too.

"Our aim has always been to support our distributors, enabling them to be successful and the ‘go to’ company in terms of rescue training equipment within their own countries.

"We work with a fantastic network of Distributors across the world to supply manikins to countless rescue organisations. We must thank them for their continued dedication to rescue training.

"The calibre of companies attending the awards was very high and we are proud to be flying the flag for Welsh trade. Thank you to FSB for this honour. We are over the moon and will continue to work hard to prove that Wales is key player when it comes to international trade.”

Ruth Lee Ltd has been producing manikins for the UK's Emergency Services for almost 30 years, as well as countless other industry sectors. In recent years, demand for the company's extensive range of rescue training manikins has grown world-wide, to the extent that they now export 70% of their production abroad.
