A 30-year-old woman had driven for the third time while over the alcohol limit when she took her father’s car without consent and caused £15,000 damage in a smash, a court heard on Wednesday.
Katie Bell, of Park Road, Colwyn Bay, drove “recklessly” and had been found hiding under a car after police were called to Brompton Avenue, Rhos on Sea, where she’d hit a parked van, magistrates were told.
Her breath-alcohol reading was 83. The legal limit is 35.
She had been disqualified in November, prosecutor James Neary said at Llandudno court.
Bell admitted taking a Hyundai Tuscan, drink-driving and driving when banned. Craig Hutchinson, defending, said she had a “toxic” relationship with her father and she drank to cope.
Bell was conditionally bailed until sentencing at Caernarfon crown court on May 10.
