THE volunteer crew members of Beaumaris lifeboat was launched to assist a boat with engine failure located off Plas Newydd on the Menai Strait.
The Beaumaris lifeboat Annette Mary Liddington launched at 3.10pm on Saturday April 20 and sailed to the vessel. Upon arrival it became apparent the craft with her four adult occupants and one dog would have to be towed to a boat yard for repair.
The motor boat was towed to the ABC boatyard at Gallows Point near Beaumaris and recovered from the water by employees of the boatyard assisted by lifeboat volunteers.
The lifeboat was then released from service by the U.K. Coastguard and returned to the lifeboat station at Beaumaris arriving at 4.45 pm.
