SEE the sun start the day from Snowdon’s summit and raise funds for Llandudno’s St David’s Hospice.

Starting at 1. 45am on Sunday May 12, entrants, will be challenged to climb the mountain with the aim of reaching the summit for sunrise at 5am.

Once participants have descended they will be rewarded will be rewarded with a full cooked breakfast at the Padarn Hotel, across the road from the Snowdon Mountain Railway terminus.

Led by an experienced team from Raw Adventures, the event is ideal team building opportunity. Last year 11 members of staff from the Betsi Cadwaladr (central) pharmacy team put on their walking boots for the first ever Snowdon Sunrise raising £2,210.

Emma Williams, of the Betsi Cadwaladr Pharmacy team said: “I decided to do the Snowdon Sunrise Challenge originally with a friend from work as a personal challenge and then decided it would be a great opportunity for team building so involved other members of the pharmacy.

“The walk was absolutely fabulous and all of the staff involved really enjoyed it. I personally had wonderful support from my colleagues during the walk; it was a fabulous team effort.

“The Hospice is local to our department as we all work in Glan Clwyd and we are all inspired to help in the future after our visit seeing the wonderful work that is carried out.”

James Wilde, Conwy Area Fundraiser said: “Our first Snowdon Sunrise Challenge last year was a phenomenal success with more than 75 people climbing to Snowdon’s summit to see a stunning sunrise.

“The feedback we’ve had from supporters has been brilliant, they raised funds for the hospice and experienced an event that left them with lasting memories.”
