A few more lambs on offer returned an overall average 239.89ppkg.

In most demand was the handier weight (below 42kg) well fleshed lambs which attracted keen bidding throughout.

Heavier weight lambs again proved harder sell, so vendors are encouraged to draw their lambs earlier.

Light weight lambs met a strong trade due to a shortage of these types in the hoggets.

A larger number of hoggets forward sold to a slightly slower trade throughout especially for the heavier weight hoggs (50kg +), which proved most difficult to sell.

Strangely, 47-48kg hoggs would sell quite considerably better than 50kg + hoggs.

There was a good competitive trade for export weight hoggs, especially the better meated ones, but yet again the strongest demand was for the lightier weight hoggs, partically the better bred types.
