A BIKER has been flown to hospital with serious injuries following a crash in Denbighshire last night (Friday).

The Welsh Ambulance Service confirmed the man was flown to the Royal University Stoke Hospital following a crash, involving a motorbike and black Vauxhall Astra, on the junction of the A5 and A494 in Druid, near Corwen.

Police are now appealing for more information as the man was "seriously injured" during the incident.

Sergeant Nicola Grimes-Williams, of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “The collision resulted in the male motorcyclist being taken to hospital in Stoke with injuries which are described as serious.

“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage of either the motorcyclist travelling in the direction of Corwen to Cerrigydrudion or the car travelling in the opposite direction, prior to the incident, to come forward.”

The force said the road would remain closed for several hours and warned motorists to avoid the area following the crash, which happened at around 7.30pm on Friday evening.
