RUTHIN U-11s have been on tour.
Earlier this month, the young Blues travelled to Gloucestershire, where they attended a rugby camp with the Gloucester Academy.
This was followed by a parade around the Kingsholm Stadium prior to the Gloucester v Newcastle Falcons rugby match.
On the Sunday, they were welcomed by Bredon Star RFC for a hard fought match, resulting in a well-deserved win for Ruthin.
In the true spirit of rugby, the teams then joined forces and played a Barbarians style match.
Following the match, Ruthin players were presented with team ties and they enjoyed lunch with their hosts, during which gifts between the teams were exchanged.
Both teams embraced their newfound friends and spent the afternoon playing football and bulldogs, whilst the parents relaxed.
Bank Holiday Monday provided the perfect opportunity for the team to try out new skills on the lake.
Ruthin Rugby Club are keen to encourage more players to join the team.
Any children entering Year 7 in September and would like to go along can contact Bethan Hunter or Ruthin Rugby Club for more details.
