ASPIRING vocalists will get the chance to tune their voices at two special workshops at arranged by a Colwyn Bay school.

Rydal Penrhos prep school will be running a pair of chorister workshops in association with St Asaph Cathedral and St John’s Church, Colwyn Bay.

The workshops are open to all children aged between seven and nine whatever school they attend.

During the workshops youngsters will experience what it is like to be part of a cathedral choir, as well as getting some helpful hints on improving their singing ability during some fun filled activities.

Each workshop will be led by musicians from the choir.

Alison Hind, Head of Rydal Penrhos prep school, said: “We are very proud to have an association with members of the St Asaph Cathedral, which has seen some of our pupils such as Hannah Davies and Caitriona Searl secure places in its choir.

“It is a very worthwhile experience and builds confidence a great deal, so we are thrilled to be holding these workshops and I am sure they are going to be very beneficial for anyone planning to attend.”

The workshops take place in St Asaph on Thursday, May 23 and Colwyn Bay on Thursday June 27 from 4.15pm to 5.00pm.
