A PREP SCHOOL has won a regional mathematics competition for the fourth year running.
Fairholme Preparatory School in St Asaph took part in the annual Junior Maths Challenge hosted by independent Ruthin School on May 3. It sees year five primary school age pupils from across the county and Cheshire compete in a series of rounds of difficult mathematics questions.
The St Asaph school's two teams claimed both first and second place this year.
Prizes were awarded by Toby Belfield, Ruthin School principal.
Fairholme principal Steve Perkins said: “We make mathematics fun and a core part of our learning and we are proud of the achievements of our pupils."
