A NURSING home resident received a special visitor on her 105th birthday.
Mold mayor Cllr Tim Maunders attended the birthday celebrations of Jane Cole at The Cottage Nursing Home, where she is a resident.
Councillor Tim Maunders, elected last week at Mold Town Council’s AGM, said he was delighted to attend his first official engagement in the role.
He said "I was honoured to be asked to attend and share this momentous birthday celebration with Jane and her family, it was thoroughly lovely afternoon”.
Jane Cole has been a resident of The Cottage since November 2012 and has also celebrated her 100th birthday and subsequent birthdays at the home.
Amongst her cards was a special birthday message from Her Majesty The Queen and during the afternoon family and friends along with follow residents and staff were treated to a piece of her birthday cake, specially made for the occasion.
Her family complimented the staff and management on how well she has being cared for during her time in their care and thanked them for organising the afternoon and a surprise visit from the mayor.
Andreas Lanini, owner of The Cottage Nursing Home, said: "It was a very special day for her and she certainly enjoyed it.
"Jane is remarkable - she came to us seven years ago and she celebrated her 100th birthday here as well."
