AN MP has spoken of his relief after a man who made death threats against him was convicted.
Middlesbrough MP Andy McDonald received an email full of 'bile' which made threats to kill him.
Dave Stuart, 53, of Topcroft Close, Park End, Middlesbrough, pleaded guilty to two counts of sending a threatening communication when he appeared before magistrates in Teesside yesterday, Friday.
The second victim, another public figure, has not been named at this time.
The case was adjourned ahead of sentencing, for pre-sentence reports to be filed.
Mr McDonald said he could say more once sentence is passed.
I am relieved that the person who threatened to kill me has been convicted after pleading guilty to the charges. My sincere thanks to @ClevelandPolice and the Crown Prosecution Service.

The MP tweeted today: "I am relieved that the person who threatened to kill me has been convicted after pleading guilty to the charges.
"My sincere thanks to Cleveland Police and the Crown Prosecution Service."
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: “This case represents the serious consequences of malicious communications and the unnecessary distress, fear and anxiety it can cause victims to feel.
“Sending threatening or abusive communications is completely unacceptable and we hope this case serves as a warning to others to think before acting in this way as we will not tolerate this type of behaviour."
