RESIDENTS are being encouraged to turn out as scores of classic cars make their way through a town centre.

The Three Castles classic car rally will be coming through Mold on Friday, June 7 at 10.30am.

Mold Town Council has said the event will mean a great opportunity to watch more than 80 classic and vintage cars pass through the town.

A spokesman said: "They will be travelling along the A541 (Denbigh Road) then turning right onto the A5119 (Chester Street) then left onto the B5444 (Wrexham Street) where they will start the next competitive regularity section under the flyover, on Nercyws Road.

"Please do come out to watch them pass through.

"In Mold the entrants will be running in seeded order, so the cars that are leading the classic section of the event (essentially post Second World War cars) will pass through first.

"After up to 80 Classic entries pass it will be the turn of the Pre-Second Worls War cars in the heritage group to come through.

"They are particularly lovely and worth waiting to see - and there are eleven of these cars entered. "The whole thing will take an hour and a half to pass, with cars running at roughly minute intervals."
