ST ASAPH has a new mayor.
Cllr Peter Scott has taken on the role for a second time. He previously served from 2014 to 2016.
He took over the chains of office from cllr Colin Hardie who served the city for three years.
Cllr Scott, who is married to Susan, said: "I am delighted to have been appointed as mayor. My wife, Susan and I look forward to representing the City for the next 12 months.
"The previous Mayor, cllr Colin Hardie, has done an excellent job for the last three years and I would like to build on all his hard work and see St Asaph develop as a tourist destination.
"I will again be working hard for my charity St Kentigern Hospice.
"The people of St Asaph are a tight knit community and deserve to be represented to the best of my ability."
Cllr Scott previously served as the chair of Denbighshire.
