CLASSIC cars and tractors rolled into Bala on the bank holiday weekend as the town staged its fifth annual transport festival.
The iconic Morris Minor, vintage Massey Ferguson tractors and 1960s motorbikes were among the vehicles on display at the Festival of Transport on Sunday, May 26.
The show has grown year on year and now welcomes hundreds of people to the fields of secondary school Ysgol y Berwyn and opposite Llanuwchllyn Station.
Visitors were taken to the two sites by an old Crosville bus and London double-decker.
Among the vehicles lined up in the fields, there was a model railway exhibition, selling different components and tracks, as well as tree-cutting and axe-throwing demonstrations.
This year's event was also attended by Julian Birley, chairman of the Bala Lake Railway Trust, who showcased plans for the 1,200m extension route leading from Pen-y-Bont station, across the River Dee and into the new Bala station, which will see steam trains visiting the town all year round.
