THE twentieth edition of the Prestatyn Classic Car Show saw more than 300 vehicles displayed as hundreds flocked to the Town.

Classic cars lined the car park in the Town on Bank Holiday Monday and the show's mix of Classics, Modern Classics, American cars, Super Cars and several other vehicles meant that there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Huge American "muscle cars" and motorbike displays proved to be two of the main attractions for the hundreds of guests who paid a visit to the show.

The DJ and the Jazz Band had guests dancing along at the old Vicarage Gardens.

Some of the cars entered had been in the family for over 30 years and owners proudly showed off their vehicles.

Mark Finch of Shrewsbury was celebrating after his immaculately presented VW Camper Van won the 'Best Car in Show' award.

The show itself originally began as a one-off special to celebrate the millennium. However, it proved to be so popular that it has continued to grow year on year.

Organiser Tim Walkden-Williams said: "This year's turnout certainly exceeded expectations particularly when you consider the weather on the day.

"The High Street was packed with people - it was like the end of a football match as it was that busy.

"It was an excellent event and I would just like to say thank you to those who have helped it take place, especially our volunteers. It was wet but it certainly wasn't a washout."
