A FORMER Prestatyn postie and devoted fundraiser will hold a coffee morning to raise funds for his African school.
Ron Cavie founded St Ronnie’s Academy in the village of Shanzu, a suburb of Mombasa in Kenya.
The coffee morning will be held on Saturday, June 8 at 10am at the Jubilee Centre, Seabank Drive, Prestatyn.
Entrance is £1 and includes refreshments, auction, cake stall, bric-a-brac, raffle and more.
Ron said: "Last year it was an amazing success."
Earlier this year, Ron paid another visit to his school.
The father to three grown-up children and grandfather said the highlights of the trip were a sports day and a visit to a women's prison.
He said: "We met a lot of prisoners and their little children. If under four years old and if they have no one to look after them, they stay with their mothers. If after the age of four and their mother is still in prison, they are fostered out until they are released."
The school opened its doors with just nine pupils in January 2013.
