AN INQUEST has been opened following a former finance assistant’s death in a house blaze in Flintshire.
Janet Atherton, 62, of Burntwood Road, Buckley, died on Wednesday, May 29.
John Gittins, coroner for North Wales (East and Central), said the death was reported to him by North Wales Police following a house fire where Mrs Atherton lived with Claire Morris, her wife.
Resuscitation was unsuccessful and Mr Gittins, who opened the proceedings at County Hall in Ruthin, said given the circumstances the death would proceed to a full inquest, to be held at a later date.
