A MAN has been arrested following reports of a handgun being carried in Wrexham.
Cheshire and North Wales Alliance Armed Policing Unit have revealed that they have arrested a man and that a black air pistol has been recovered by them.
Cheshire & North Wales AAP tweeted:
“Report of male with black handgun on Pen y Cae Wrexham, 1 male arrested by Alliance officers and black Air pistol recovered. #hereforyou.”
A spokesperson from the unit has said:
"We received a call at 21:22 last night (Wednesday) regarding an incident in Penycae. A male was subsequently arrested for firearms offences, and enquiries are ongoing."
