Both lanes are now open on the A483 following reports of a broken-down coach earlier.
Long delays were being reported, with Traffic Wales labelling the severity of disruption as ‘Severe’.
However, they are now reporting that the coach has been moved, but heavy congestion still remains.
The incident had caused Lane 2 to be closed on the northbound carriageway between Rossett and Belgrave.
Traffic officers were on hand dealing with the situation.
Traffic Wales tweeted:
"The Coach has now been removed from the network, and lane 2 has now been re-opened, but heavy congestion still in the area. Please drive carefully."
