The city centre music day, Winchestival, returns on Saturday with a bigger and better line up than ever.

The Magic Numbers headline the main stage, with support from Cassia, Larkins, Only the Poets and many more.

Milton Jones will headline the comedy tent and DJ Allister Whitehead headlines the Downtown Brown Stage.

FOR nearly 1,400 years, those associated with the cathedral in Winchester have played an important part in the care of the sick and management of disease.

An exclusive tour this Saturday recounts the history of medicine in relation to the structure of the present cathedral, and the people commemorated within it.

After the tour, enjoy a coffee or hot drink with a homemade cake in the Refectory.

A tour guide will meet you at the Tourist Information Centre for whichever time you book, and will take you round the city that is rich in history.

All tours last around one-and-a-half hours.

4 In Beaulieu...

The gates will open at the shore base in Gosport for an action packed weekend as the HMS Sultan Summer Show 2019 fires into full swing.

Bolddog Lings Freestyle Motorcross Display Team will be wowing the crowds with their amazing mid-air stunts.

The show will also feature a main arena packed with live entertainment, a large-scale Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) area, a Steam Fayre and a kid’s zone crammed full of free activities.

Gates will open at 10am both days.

PORTSMOUTH Film Society is set to bring 80s classic Top Gun to the Cumberland House gardens this Saturday.

The event has been organised as part of the Sun Set Cinema screenings.

It’s a beautiful location for a film screening, and doors to the garden open at 8pm.

The film starts at 9:30pm.

Bring blankets, folding chairs and picnics, and be sure to check the Portsmouth Film Society website for weather conditions and updates in the days leading up to the screening.
