A CHIRK charity has recently been celebrating its 50th anniversary.
Chirk Hospital Circle of Friends, marked the milestone by gathering together at Chirk Hand Hotel for a celebratory meal.
The charity was pleased to welcome special guests Mrs Elizabeth Hickson and Mrs Ann Hughes, both past Chairpersons of the Circle of Friends and also Lady Susan Trevor whose late mother-in-law Phyllis Lady Trevor was the founder.
A spokesman for the charity said: "Following the meal, special presentations were made to three members who have been with the Group since its formation , Mrs Sybil Jones, Mrs Kit Jones and Mrs Jan Sides.
"Mrs Sybil Jones has recently stepped down as Chairperson, having served in the role for the past 10 years and has now been given the title of Honorary Life President in recognition of her loyal and dedicated service to the Circle of Friends.
"Thanks are given to Chirk Hand Hotel for providing a most enjoyable meal and for all their help and support in organising this special event."
