CHILDREN in Bangor have been digging in to help spruce up their school.
Youngsters from Ysgol Coedmawr and Ysgol Glanadda helped improve the school grounds, in partnership with the Treborth Botanic Garden based organisation Wild Elements.
The work coincided with National School Grounds Week and continues.
Last Friday (June 14) saw year six turn old tyres into planters whilst foundation children planted flowers. On Wednesday (June 19) reception, years 1-4, painted fences.
On Friday (June 21) year six will paint tyres, and on Wednesday, June 26, year five will plant flowers, whilst reception, years 1-4, will make a bug hotel.
Their headteacher Caren Rowlands said: "The children have done a really fantastic job brightening up the school grounds.
"Our thanks also go to B&Q for kindly donating lots of colourful paints and bulbs."
