WHAT an ace time it turned out to be for Catherine Parton recently.
June Brady held her lady captain's day at Ruthin Pwllglas Golf Club on Saturday, June 15.
A total of 21 ladies played and Catherine Parton took first place on the day with her haul of 41 points.
Not just content with that, she crowned her round with a hole-in-one on the 18th hole.
This was Catherine's first competitive ace.
The runner-up in the competition was Brenda Roberts with 37 points and Sue Kilday took third place with 33 points.
Menna Williams won the nine-hole competition with 19 points. Catherine Parton was nearest to the hole on the 16th green and Sue Williams won nearest the line prize on the first fairway.
Angie Robinson correctly guessed the distance from the line.
Thirty-two ladies and guests joined June Brady for a lovely meal afterwards and the captain praised the condition of the course considering the inclement weather over the previous week.
