A young man from North Wales has been cleared of rape and sexual assault.
Defendant Keiron Bleach, 25, of Bryn Onnen, Llanfair TH near Abergele, denied that he penetrated the mouth of a young woman on two occasions at Gronant in the summer of 2017, and that he sexually assaulted her.
On Thursday, a jury at Mold Crown Court cleared him of all charges.
Judge Rhys Rowlands said that the jury had asked during the trial why there had been such a delay in the case.
The judge said that it had taken too long.
The allegations went back to July 2017 but in had taken the police until January last year to submit a file to the CPS.
He had then been postally requisitioned to court.
The prosecution said that the alleged offences happened in a caravan at Presthaven Sands while the young woman was on holiday.
She described it as awful and said he would not take no for an answer.
Bleach denied the allegations and said that what took place was with her consent.
