A group of pupils and teachers at a Ruthin-based school have raised a £820 for St Asaph-based St Kentigern hospice over the course of the academic year.

Members of Elgar House at Ruthin School, have been fundraising alongside their studies for their local hospice, St Kentigern for the past four years with a whole host of different initiatives, including go karting and non uniform days.

Over the past four years the total raised for the hospice has exceeded £2100.00 which has all gone to fund hospice care in the local area.

Laura Parry, Fundraising Manager, St Kentigern Hospice: "Without the generous support we receive from groups like the pupils of Ruthin School, the hospice team could not continue to provide specialist care to people living in the local area.

"We are extremely grateful of this ongoing support and commitment, and the support they have received from friends, family and colleagues."
