THE A483 is now clear after an earlier incident caused major disruption to motorists this morning (Tuesday).

A collision between two vehicles took place near Coedpoeth shortly before 6am and led to the temporary closure of one lane and the slip road at Junction 4.

Following the collision between a black Land Rover Discovery and a silver Peugeot 308, one person was taken to hospital after emergency services arrived at the scene on the Northbound carriageway.

A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We were called on Tuesday 23 July to reports of a road traffic accident on the A483 near Wrexham.

“We responded with one rapid response vehicle and one ambulance. One patient was transported by road ambulance to Maelor General Hospital, Wrexham.”

The road completely reopened at 7.08am.
