THREE ambulance crews were called to a pub in Llandudno after a man fell and was knocked unconscious.

The Welsh Ambulance Service sent two ambulances and an air ambulance to Wetherspoon, on Gloddaeth Street, just after 7pm on Friday, July 19.

The customer fell down a flight of stairs which resulted in cuts to his head and he was unconscious for about 10 minutes.

An ambulance service spokesperson said the man was taken to Glan Clwyd Hospital by road.

“We were called on July 19 at approximately 7.03pm to reports of a person needing medical assistance at the Palladium in Llandudno," the spokesperson said.

"We responded with two ambulances and we were assisted by the Wales Air Ambulance.

"One patient was transported by road ambulance to Glan Clwyd Hospital, Bodelwyddan.”

The man fell from the lowest flight of stairs leading from the men's toilets. Wetherspoon staff called the ambulance.

Eddie Gershon, Wetherspoon spokesperson, said: "We trust that the man makes a full recovery and send our thoughts and wishes to him and his family.”
