THE A545 road on Anglesey was blocked off this afternoon due to a "medical emergency".
The Wales Air Ambulance was called to the scene of the incident believed to have taken place near the Gazelle Hotel, between Menai Bridge and Beaumaris.
One person was taken to Glan Clwyd Hospital as a result.
A spokesperson for the service said: "“We were called on Tuesday at approximately 12:29 pm to reports of a person needing medical attention on Beaumaris Road near Menai Bridge.
"We responded with one rapid response vehicle, one ambulance and we were supported by the Wales Air Ambulance.
"One patient was transported by air ambulance to Glan Clwyd Hospital, Bodelwyddan."
Police said they were also called to the incident and were required to attend to deal with traffic management and help secure a safe landing site for the air ambulance.
The road has now re-opened after it had been closed for some time following the incident.
