THERE has been further local success in Wales YFC competitions at the Royal Welsh Show.
A real highlight for YFC members came in the Welsh mules stock judging section.
In the U-16 category, it was Meirionnydd's Sara Jones who triumphed.
Meanwhile, in the 26 years and under section, Clwyd's Aled Jones finished as the runner-up.
Clwyd also took second spot in the Welsh mules stock judging team event.
Dressing-up has also been a winner!
Meirionnydd claimed third position in the dressing up competition, behind Ceredigion and Montgomery.
The R L Jones Memorial Trophy is awarded to the federation gaining
the highest marks in all stockjudging competitions.
This year it was won by Brecknock, with Clwyd finishing joint-fifth and Meirionnydd were ninth.
Clwyd finished ninth in the NFU Challenge Trophy, awarded to the federation with the highest marks in 12 of the competitions.
Meirionnydd were 11th.
