CHILDREN hopped on to a water slide and enjoyed foaming fun during a free day of play.
More than 3,000 people attended the event at Rhyl’s Oak Tree centre on Wednesday, August 7, as part of Denbighshire's National Play Day
As well as a bouncy castle and circus skills, there was slip and slide bowling, den building, a baby zone, face painting, messy play, ninja training camp, disability sports, soccerama, arts, crafts and painting.
Cllr Bobby Feeley, Denbighshire County Council’s lead member for Wellbeing and Independence, said: “I’d like to thank everyone who was involved in the fifth National Play Day event in Rhyl.

“It was the biggest yet with more than 3,000 people attending.
"It was fantastic so many children and families from across Denbighshire and North Wales were able to enjoy the wide range of activities on offer.
“We have had some great feedback from parents and children who thoroughly enjoyed the day. Play is a fundamental part of children’s lives and promoting their well-being is one of the Council’s priorities.”
National Play Day takes place on the first Wednesday in August each year across the UK.
Conwy's event was held in Colwyn Bay at Rydal School Playing Fields.
A total of 1580 people flocked to the county's celebration. Sally Holland, Children's Commissioner for Wales, also attended.
