A RHYL tennis player has been offered a role in Apprentice candidate Sabrina Stocker’s company.

Jonathon Dawes will recruit ambassadors for the company to represent the brand and run 'world class events'.

Sabrina runs My Tennis Events. She was on the Apprentice in 2018.

Jonathon said: "I was given this job after winning the LTA British Tennis Young Person of the year after being nationally recognised and showing Sabrina my skills on and off court."

Jonathon, from Rhyl Tennis Club, was recently appointed head coach.

"My first act was to welcome BBC Apprentice final five finalist, CEO of My Tennis Events and professional tennis coach Sabrina Stocker to Rhyl Tennis Club to run a masterclass for local tennis players," he said.

"It was a great chance for tennis players to meet Sabrina and benefit from all her years of experience on the tennis court and learn lots.

"It was a really unique and exciting event for Rhyl Tennis Club to host."

The Welsh Youth Parliament member for the Vale of Clwyd took part in the National Play Day last week. The teenager ran tennis coaching sessions.

Jonathon added: "National Play Day is a fantastic initiative, that provides physical activity to young people across Denbighshire.

"It was my pleasure as Welsh Youth Parliament member to support this event."
