A MAN sustained life-threatening injuries during an overnight incident in Rhyl.
A 43-year-old man from the local area remains in hospital in a serious condition.
Welsh Ambulance Service were called on Tuesday, August 13 at 1.36am to reports of a person needing medical assistance on Church Street.
North Wales Police assisted.
The man was taken to Glan Clwyd Hospital in Bodelwyddan.
Denbighshire district Chief Inspector Andrew Williams said: "We will soon be releasing the scene in Church Street and we are extremely grateful to the public and the local business community for both their patience, and their help to date.
"We would still very much like people to come forward with any information, particularly if they were in the Church Street area between 1.15am and 1.30am this morning."
Police cordoned off the area this morning while they carried investigations to determine the circumstances. A blue tarpaulin sheet was put up at the scene.
A spokesperson for ambulance added: "We responded with two emergency ambulances and we were supported by the police service.
"One patient was transported by ambulance to Glan Clwyd Hospital.”
North Wales Police tweeted, just before 7.30am on Tuesday, August 13, that Church Street is shut.
They added: "Please find alternative route and be patient with us until we reopen it. Thank you."
A spokesperson from Denbighshire County Council said: "Due to an on-going police incident on Church Street in Rhyl, the town's Library and One Stop Shop will be closed temporarily."
