A GWYNEDD club will swap rackets for pedals this weekend.
Bala Badminton Club will be undertaking an epic challenge... without having to leave the town.
Club members doing a 24-hour sponsored spin cycle from Bala to Cardiff and back, a distance of some 300 miles.
They will be setting up at Llyn Tegid on Saturday, August 17, starting at 10am.
Then, participants will continue with the challenge through until 10am on Sunday, August 18.
The badminton club members will be raising money for a couple of worthy causes.
One will be for the Bala Railway extension into Bala and the other is the Shooting Stars Appeal in Wrexham.
Each member of the club, from young to young-at-heart, will cycle for one hour and two bikes will be set up so the cycling does not stop at the changeover period.
Every hour will be covered and the aim of those present is to have a group breakfast celebration on the Sunday morning.
