There are just a few tickets remaining for next month’s Carlisle Blues/Rock festival.

Over 90% of tickets have already been sold for the city centre event.

The 11th version of the Festival kicks off on Friday September 27 at the Crown & Mitre hotel, featuring 16 bands and nearly 70 musicians.

Xander & The Peace Pirates and old festival favourite Sean Webster top the bill on the Friday night. Sean is guaranteed to wow the crowd and Xander & The Peace Pirates always impress with their show.

Saturday sees RHR and the Steve Nimmo trio headline. They are supported by Felix Rabin and the John Amor Band, with Connie Lush also appearing.

On Sunday the festival is brought to a close by the legendary Andy Fairweather Low and the Low Riders.

Since starting his career in the Sixties with Amen Corner, Andy has played with many of the greats, including Hendrix, The Who, Elton John and Bob Dylan.

Fairweather Low has been a regular in Eric Clapton’s band since the early-Nineties, touring up until 2003 and recording many albums, including Unplugged, From the Cradle, Pilgrim, Riding with the King, and Back Home.

Andy Low was also a regular player with George Harrison, appearing on his Live in Japan album and, in 2002, playing several of the lead guitar parts for the Harrison tribute event, The Concert for George.
