A pub is gearing up for its long-awaited re-opening on August 30 after being closed for over a year due to fire damage.
The Cross Keys Pub in Llanfynydd has been closed since March 2018, after a fire caused serious damage to the kitchen, with smoke damage to the rest of the building.
The old pub piano that owners, Paul and Nicola kept for sentimental reasons has been completely redesigned, rebuilt and painted. It's now used as a cutlery holder and restaurant server. (Source Paul Koffman)
Owners Paul Koffman, 46 and Nicola Kirby, 48, said they are both “nervous and excited” for the re-opening.
Mr Koffman said: “We’ve been closed for quite some time now but even though the fire damage proved stressful, it allowed us to make improvements within the pub itself. We now have vintage tables and chairs and a nearly completed resurfaced car park, which hopefully our loyal customers will love.

“The locals have missed the pub being open and now the time is finally here for us to open the doors and just get on with things.
“We’ve still got a lot to do but once everything is finally done, we can get back to normal.”

The pub will open at 5pm on Friday, August 30 but opening hours are set to increase once business dictates. The opening hours are Thursdays, 5pm until 11pm, Fridays, 12pm until 11.30pm and Sundays, 12pm until 9pm.
