A WREXHAM business has raised hundreds of pounds for a local hospice by taking part in a colour run.
A team of 13 from NFU Mutual Wrexham took part in last Sunday’s Colour Run at Bangor on Dee Racecourse, in aid of Nightingale House Hospice in Wrexham.
NFU Mutual Wrexham regularly supports Nightingale House through various events and initiatives, but this was the first time the team had come together to raise money together for the charity.
Thanks to the kind support and sponsorship of friends, family and customers, the team raised over £450 and are already looking forward to taking part again next year.
Known as ‘the happiest 4,000 meters on the planet’ the runners ran around the racecourse twice, bursting through ‘colour stations’ along the way and emerging laughing and multicoloured.
Senior partner at NFU Mutual Wrexham Mark Roberts commented: “We’re always keen to support local events, even more so when they benefit such a wonderful charity.
“Most of our staff members have had their lives touched by Nightingale House at some point and it’s great to have an opportunity to get together, have fun and give something back.”
