TWO more of stand-up’s rising stars will be joining Theatr Clwyd's monthly comedy club.

This October, the club brings two of the hottest names in comedy, with Jess Fostekew (Cuckoo, The Guilty Feminist Podcast) and one of the fastest rising stars on the UK circuit, Scott Bennett.

Absolute powershed and regular host of The Guilty Feminist, Jessica Fostekew hit the stand-up circuit like a thunderbolt of joy in 2008.

Her show Hench was nominated for the best show at the Leicester Comedy Festival and she has previously written for Channel 4’s Stand Up for the Week and BBC Radio 4’s The Now Show.

Scott Bennett is a Yorkshire livewire with an undeniable no nonsense logic.

He delivers wry observations on the absurdity of modern living and his sharply written routines have been delighting audiences across the country.

His debut hour stand-up show About a Roy: Stories about me dad was nominated for the highly acclaimed Amused Moose Comedy Award and was selected as one of the top-10 shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2015.

His second show Leap Year was nominated for best show at the Leicester Comedy Festival in 2019 and completed a sellout run to critical acclaim at the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The duo will be at Theatr Clwyd on Tuesday, October 1 (8pm).

Tickets, priced £10, are available from 01352 344101 or at www.theatrclwyd.com
