A BUSINESS in Wrexham is teaming up with a nationwide charity to help raise money for people living with cancer.

The Team at Printworks Wrexham is hoping to raise much-needed money by hosting an event as part of Macmillan Cancer Support’s World Biggest Coffee Morning – and everyone is invited.

The event is being held on Friday, September 27 at their office 10 Egerton Street from 9am.

Organisers are inviting people to come along, share in the fun and raise vital funds at the same time for the growing number of people living with cancer across the UK.

A spokesperson from Macmillan said: “Macmillan’s Coffee Morning takes place on Friday September 27 and we need your help to support the growing number of people living with cancer across the UK.

“Macmillan is almost entirely funded by donations and simply cannot support the growing number of people with cancer who need them without the public’s help.

“Every two minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer. There are over 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK and this is set to grow to almost 4 million by 2030.”

Organiser Elle Gaskell of Printworks said: “We are hosting our coffee morning because sadly we all have had friends and family members suffer with this terrible disease.

“As a local business within the heart of the Wrexham community, we want to take the opportunity to raise the money and spread the awareness for a great cause.

“Cancer can affect anyone, and it impacts on every part of your life. Macmillan provides financial, physical and emotional support for people living with cancer, so that’s why we want to raise money so that everybody gets the help they need”.
