AN e-cigarette sparked a car fire near Ruthin on Tuesday afternoon.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said it sent one appliance to the incident involving a vaping device in Llanbedr Dyffryn Clwyd just after 2.10pm.
A spokesperson for the fire service said the device was stored in the glovebox when the fire broke out.
'Vapes' include rechargeable batteries that are used to heat liquid into vapour which can then be inhaled.
The fire service spokesperson said: “We sent an officer to the incident in Llanbedr DC at 2.11pm on Tuesday, September 17.
“The vaping device caused some damage to the seat on the passenger side. An officer was sent to inspect the scene.”
The incident was closed at 3.36pm.
