A NEW food store in a Flintshire town has announced its official opening date.
In the days leading up to the opening of Home Bargains in Chester Road, Mold, 'coming soon' banners were seen for a branch of the Food Warehouse beside the shutters of the adjacent unit.
The Food Warehouse was formed in 2014 and is part of the national retailer Iceland.
Banners now show that the store will be officially opening on October 1.
The Leader previously reported that news of its forthcoming arrival in Mold was welcomed by Joanna Douglass, business and regeneration officer at Mold Town Council.
She said "It's always good to have more interest in Mold and it shows confidence in the town.
"I think the Food Warehouse will complement the Home Bargains store and bring employment to the local area.
"I am pleased that it appears the Iceland in Mold [town centre] will be retained as well, so there is that extra offer."
